Blackberry Jack Jam Cake

1/2 Lb. butter  
3 Cups Flour 
1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon 
2 Cups Brown Sugar 
1 Tsp. Soda 
1/2 Tsp. Allspice 
3 Eggs 
1/4 Tsp. Salt 
16 OZ. Jar Blackberry Jam 
1 Cup Buttermilk 
1/2 Tsp. Nutmeg 
10 OZ. Package Pecans 
  
Cream butter, sugar and eggs.  
 
Sift together dry ingredients, add alternately with buttermilk, to butter mixture and fold in blackberry jam and nuts.
 
Blend well by hand.....Do not use "electric mixer".
 
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
 
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, then reduce to 300 hours for 1 hour. 
 
When cake is done, wrap in foil while still warm.
 
This cake will keep very well refrigerated or frozen.
