Egg Custard 
  
8 Eggs 
1 T. Vanilla 
1 Cup sugar 
1 Quart milk (scalded then cool) 
  
Beat eggs, add sugar and flavoring and whip thoroughly. Pour scalded milk over mixture and mix well. Pour into baking pan. Place this pan in larger pan which has 1 cup cold water in it. Bake in moderate oven for about 20 minutes. I always sprinkle cinnamon over the top before cooking. Also I "did" have some little oven proof bowls and I would make individual servings and set them in a pan with a cup or so of water. When the blade of your table knife came out clean. the pudding will be firm
