Western Round Steak Barbecue

 

Cut 3 lbs. round steak, 1/2" thick into about 6 servings. 

Spread with prepared mustard and coat with flour. 
Brown in 1/2 cup hot olive oil.
 
Remove steak and add the following to the olive oil: 
  • 1 clove (or more) of garlic
  • Minced and 1/2 cup chopped onion. 
 
Saute until Brown.   Combine and add:
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 t. pepper
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 c vinegar
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce.
Pour over steak and simmer until tender.
