Western Round Steak
Barbecue
Cut 3 lbs. round steak, 1/2" thick into about 6
servings.
Spread with prepared mustard and coat with
flour.
Brown in 1/2 cup hot olive
oil.
Remove steak and add the following to the
olive oil:
- 1 clove (or more) of
garlic
- Minced and 1/2 cup
chopped
onion.
Saute until Brown. Combine and
add:
- 1/4 brown
sugar
- 1 tsp.
salt
- 1/8 t.
pepper
- 1 tsp.
Worcestershire
sauce
- 1 cup
water
- 1/4 c
vinegar
- 1 large can tomato
sauce
- 1/2 cup
catsup
- 1/2 cup chopped
green pepper
- 1 tsp.
Worcestershire
sauce.
Pour over steak and simmer until
tender.
